Export to CSV: what each column means
Exporting needs your church's Owner or a volunteer with View reports access. If you don't have View reports access, ask the Owner to turn it on.
Export CSV downloads the room report as a spreadsheet, so you can keep attendance and handover records outside the app. You'll find it in the menu on the arrow beside Run report. The file has every column the report shows, plus the location.
The file is named after the report's dates, like room-report-2026-08-02-2026-08-09.csv.
The columns
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
Child name |
The child's full name, or Removed child if the child has since been erased. |
Room |
The room the child was checked into. |
Session |
The session the room was opened for, or blank for a room opened with none. |
Location |
The location the room ran at, or blank for a church with no locations. |
Checked in by |
The trusted person who checked the child in, or Removed trusted person if they have since been erased. |
Checked in at |
The date and time they checked in. |
Checked out by |
The trusted person who checked the child out, or Removed trusted person if they have since been erased. |
Checked out at |
The date and time they checked out. Blank while the child is still checked in. |
Check-out level |
Secure if a volunteer confirmed the check-out, Relaxed if the room released the child straight away. Blank while the child is still checked in. |
What the file contains
The export matches the report you last ran, with the same date range and filters. If you haven't run a report yet, it exports the default week. Changes to From, To or Filters that you haven't run aren't included.
Times use the same Reporting timezone as the report, so the spreadsheet and the screen agree.
Troubleshooting
- Rows you expected are missing. Press
Run reportfirst, then export, because the export follows the report you last ran. - A cell is blank. A child who hasn't been collected yet has no check-out time or level, and a room opened with no session or location leaves that column blank.
