Checking your child in

Scan your church's QR code, sign in with your email code or passkey, then choose which children to check in.

Steps to check in

  1. Scan the QR code and sign in if asked.
  2. On Today, press Check in children.
  3. On Who's here today?, uncheck anyone who isn't with you.
  4. Check each child's room, then press the check-in button at the bottom.

You can check in all your children with one press. To check in children from another family, open Checking in children you're trusted for? and select those who are with you.

To open check-in without scanning next time, use Install the app at the foot of the check-in page. It adds a home-screen icon for your church.

Can I choose a different room?

To change a child's room:

  1. Press Edit on your own child's row, or Change room on a child you're trusted for.
  2. Choose an open room from Room.
  3. Save, then check the child in.

If a room is open for two services at once, its name is followed by the service and start time, so you can see which one you're checking in to.

The room you choose becomes their room for next time. If their usual room isn't open yet, you can wait for a volunteer to open it, or choose a room that is open.

Why am I being asked to add another adult?

After check-in, you may see Add another trusted adult?. You can invite someone else to check your children in and out, or press Skip to leave it for later. See Letting someone else collect your child.

Troubleshooting

  • Check-in isn't open yet. A volunteer needs to open a room before children can check in. You can use Sign up or sign in to set up your family while you wait. If you're already signed in, Check in children appears on Today once a room opens.
  • Check-in has closed for a room. That room's check-in time is over, so children can't be checked into it now. Use Edit or Change room to choose a room that is still open, or ask a volunteer at the door.
  • Scan your church's QR code. Check-in opens from your church's QR code or its home-screen icon, so a saved link or a typed address ends up here, and so does a link left open for more than two hours. Scan the QR code again, or open your church's home-screen icon. You may need to sign in again.
  • Check-in is full for this week. Your church has reached its online check-ins for the week. Ask a volunteer at the room's door what to do.
  • This church isn't taking check-ins right now. Your church's account isn't active at the moment. A volunteer can help you at the door.
  • A message says your child is already checked in. Another trusted adult may have checked them in, or you may have used another device. Ask a volunteer if you're not sure who.
