I was invited. How do I accept?

Press Accept invitation in your invitation email, sign in with a code we email you, then press Confirm on the You're invited! page.

Steps to accept

1. Press Accept invitation in the email. You'll land on a page that says Join and your church's name, with your email already filled in.
2. Press Send code. If you're new to Hey Burrow, your account is created as you sign in.
3. Check your email for a 6-digit code, enter it, and press Sign in.
4. On the You're invited! page, press Confirm.

You land on the Today dashboard as a volunteer.

If you see "You're almost in!"

That page means you're signed in but haven't accepted yet. This usually happens when you go to the app directly instead of through the link in your email. Go back to your invitation email and press Accept invitation.

If the link brings you back to this page, your invitation may have been canceled and sent again, which stops older links from working. Use the link in your most recent invitation email.

Signing in without a password

Hey Burrow doesn't use passwords. Each time you sign in, we email you a code. See Signing in.

What you'll be able to do

As a volunteer, you'll see Today, People and QR codes in your sidebar, which is what you need to open a room, run check-in and look up a child. See What a volunteer can and can't see.

Troubleshooting

• The invitation email hasn't arrived. Check your spam or junk folder. If it isn't there, ask whoever invited you to check the address they used. They can cancel the invitation and send a new one.
• The email on the Join page isn't yours. The invitation was sent to that address, and only it can accept. Press Sign in as someone else to sign in to your own account, and ask whoever invited you to send a new invitation to your address.
• You see Not the right account? The email you're signed in with differs from the one that was invited. Press that link to sign in with the invited address.
• You already volunteer at another church on Hey Burrow. You can belong to more than one church and switch between them, so accept as normal. See Belonging to more than one church.
• Nothing happens when you press the link. Some email apps shorten or break long links. Copy the full address from the bottom of the email and paste it into your browser.
