Getting started: what to do first

After you create your church account, we'll guide you through setting up where you meet, your services and your rooms. Then download and print your QR code so families can check in at your first session.

Set up your church

As the Owner, you'll be asked three questions:

• Does your church meet in more than one place? Choose One place for a single site, or name each of your locations, such as North campus and South campus. See Locations: do you need them?.
• What services do you typically run? Add your regular services as sessions, or skip this for now. You can open a room without a session.
• What rooms do you have? Add at least one room. Set age ranges or school grades to help families find the right room for their children. See Create and edit a room.

You can change these later from Rooms and Sessions in the sidebar, and the Locations tab under Settings.

Get ready for your first session

The What's next list on the Today dashboard helps you finish preparing:

• Download your QR code and print it for families to scan. See Your check-in QR code.
• Invite your team so volunteers can sign in and open their rooms.
• Add your families if you'd like their details ready in advance. Families can also sign themselves up on the day. See Do I have to import my families before Sunday?.

If you skipped services during setup, you can add them from Set up your sessions on the list.

Troubleshooting

• You left setup partway through. Sign in again to continue where you stopped. Finish setup to reach the Today dashboard.
• You want to hide or bring back the list. Press Hide this list on the Today dashboard. To bring it back, open Settings, then the Church tab, and press Restore the getting-started list.
