Your check-in QR code: getting it and where to put it

Go to QR codes in the sidebar and press Download to get your check-in code as a PNG named after your church. Trusted people scan it to check their children in.

You get one code per location, or a single code for your whole church if you haven't added any locations.

Steps to get your code

  1. Go to QR codes.
  2. Press Download on the code you want.
  3. Print it, or add it to whatever signage you already use.

Where to put it

Put it where a parent holding a toddler and a bag can scan it without putting anything down.

  • The door of the room works well, since it's the first thing someone reaches on the way in.
  • Avoid glass and direct sun. Reflections can defeat a phone camera.
  • Keep a spare or two. Printed codes get wet, come down, or get tidied away, so keep a spare or two.
  • A TV or iPad screen works too.

One code per place, and it doesn't expire

The code doesn't change, so you only need to print it once. It belongs to your church or to one of its locations, so the same poster works for every session you run.

If you add a second location later, it gets its own code and its own link.

Important

Codes for different locations aren't interchangeable, so label your printouts once you have more than one.

If you add your first location to a church that had none, the church-wide code you already printed keeps working and covers every location. The QR codes page then shows one code per location, and you can download those to use from then on.

Troubleshooting

  • The printed code is too small. Print it larger. For scanning from arm's length, make it at least 10cm across.
