Check-in duration: how long a room stays open

Check-in stays open for the duration you set when you open the room, counted from the moment it opens. You can change it at any time from the room dashboard.

When it's set

When you open a room, the duration starts at the session's default and you can change it before you press Open room. It can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 4 hours. To change the default, ask your church's Owner. See Open a room.

Changing it later

On the room dashboard, press Edit duration, choose the new duration and press Save duration.

The clock always counts from when the room opened, not from when you last changed the duration. A duration shorter than the time already passed closes check-in immediately.

Troubleshooting

• You changed the duration and check-in closed right away. The new duration was shorter than the time since the room opened. While the room is still open, press Edit duration again and choose a longer one.
• You want the room itself to close. Edit duration only affects check-in. See When a room closes.
