Check a child out
In a Secure room, press Confirm handover when a trusted person (the parent or caregiver collecting a child) checks their child out on their own phone. In a Relaxed room there's nothing for you to do.
In a Secure room
- When a trusted person checks a child out, their card appears under
Waiting for youon the room dashboard. - Press
Confirm handover. - Press
Confirm handoveragain to release the child, orDeclineto keep them checked in.
When to decline
The card names the trusted person who checked the child out. Before you confirm, make sure the adult in front of you is that person. If they aren't, or you don't recognize them and can't be sure, press Decline. The child stays checked in and stays with you, and the trusted person's phone tells them a volunteer declined the check-out.
Then follow your church's own process for a collection you're not sure about. A child is only ever released to one of their trusted people.
Important
Confirm handover records that this adult collected this child. If you're unsure, decline. A declined check-out can be tried again, but a confirmed one can't be undone.
In a Relaxed room
The child is released the moment the trusted person checks out, and nothing appears on your dashboard. Ask your church's Owner if you want the room to ask for confirmation.
The last check-out closes the room
The room closes on its own once the last child has left and check-in has closed. See When a room closes.
Troubleshooting
- A check-out you expected never showed up under
Waiting for you. Check the room'sCheck-outsetting, or ask your church's Owner.
