The Today screen

The Today dashboard is where you open rooms and run check-in. It shows today's sessions in lists, with what's running first.

How sessions are grouped

• Happening now has the sessions with a room open. A room whose check-in time is over shows Check-in closed, and stays open until the last child is collected or you close it.
• Coming up has today's sessions that haven't started, and ad hoc sessions, which you can open a room into on any day. A session that has started with no room open stays here, marked Started. If more than one has started, the most recent is highlighted.
• Earlier today has sessions whose rooms have all closed, and sessions that started more than 3 hours ago with no room opened.

A room that has closed stays as a line under its session for 10 minutes, so you can still press it to see who was there.

Each session has its own Open a room button. Press an open room to go to its dashboard. See The room dashboard.

Opening a room outside a session

If what you're running isn't set up as a session, press Open one at the bottom of the page, or Open a room anyway on a day with nothing scheduled. The room opens with no session attached. It shows under No session while it's open, and that group has its own Open a room button for the next one.

The location switcher

If your church has more than one location, the location's name at the top of the list is a switcher. Press it to pick the location you're working at.

Troubleshooting

• You see Check-in isn't available yet. No rooms have been set up in your church yet. Your church's Owner can set them up, or give a volunteer Manage rooms access to do it.
• You can't find your session. If your church has more than one location, check the name at the top of the list is the right one.
