Move a child to another room

Press Move on the child's row under Who's here on the room dashboard, choose the room they're going to, and confirm. The child stays checked in, and their trusted people (the adults your church lets collect them) don't need to do anything.

Steps

  1. Open the room dashboard for the room the child is in.
  2. Find the child under Who's here and press Move.
  3. Under Move to, choose the room. Any other open room in your church is there, including one in another location or session.
  4. Press Move to to confirm.

Important

The room you move a child to becomes their default room for future check-ins. If it's a one-off, such as a child joining an older group for a single session, their suggested room will be the new one next time. Move them back, or ask your church's Owner to fix their Default room, if that isn't what you want.

Troubleshooting

  • A child has no Move button. Their trusted person has checked them out and is waiting for your Confirm handover. Confirm or decline the check-out first, and Move comes back if you decline.
  • The dialog says No other rooms are open. A child can only move to a room that's already open. Open the other room from Today, then come back and press Move. See Open a room.
